Entrance hall to an Indian university, the "Lovely Professional University"
Did they have to make it look quite so much like a bunker?
The baggage allowance on EasyZeppelin gets ever lower and lower, so I needed some lightweight luggage. These are two 'demob suitcases', refurbished and Dieselpunked. ( Collapse )
Last weekend was a bit out of the ordinary - a superb event, beautiful location, beautiful costumes. Best of all, we didn't have to do anything except show up!
Glynllifon Mansion is a big house in North Wales. In pretty nice condition, but I think it's not used as much as it ought to be, so it was good to see a ball like this taking place. It was a masqued ball, with a theme of fairies and woodland creatures. I gutted a fox head I happened to have around the place and stuck it on my head. The brown suit of ubiquity and away I went, as George Clooney, in 'The Fantastic Mr Fox'. Well, that's what I thought anyway.
A lovely evening. Masks off to Emma for organising it, and the Anglesey Hussars for shooting cannon at passing taxis outside.
It's a fair hike up to the top left corner of Wales, so we were glad that Arfon and Beth live nearby and we could spend the weekend with them too.
I'm looking forward to their Mayan End of The World celebration to close 2012.
A Dawes Fleur ladies' step-through frame from the 1980s.

Nice '80s bike in very original condition and a dead easy restoration (a Sunday afternoon cleaning, regreasing and changing the tyres)
Maybe not the sort of tiny robots you were expecting...
Well that was a busy weekend! A last minute opportunity to appear at the Foreign Fields LRP Kit Fair down in Temple Meads station. Rachel and I were promoting Waltz on the Wye, and steampunk in general. ( Collapse )
Experimental Tentacle making for Waltz on the Wye.
It's hard to know where to start with Tentacles. So I hacked up a quick one, then made a fairly neat fan box to inflate it. Now I can try making better shaped tentacles, and I just have to clip them to the box for testing.
Spare gas boiler fans welcomed!
